What counts as a device?
Any device that connects to your mesh at least once in a 30-day billing period. Devices you remove or that go inactive for more than 30 days are not counted.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The first 3 devices on your account are free forever — no credit card required. Great for personal use or trying Blackhole out.
Can I self-host the control plane?
Yes. The server is open-source under the MIT license. Run it yourself and pay nothing at all. The hosted option is just the easiest path.
What happens if I exceed my device count?
New device registrations are paused until you add a payment method or remove existing devices. Existing connections stay active.
Is there an enterprise or team plan?
The pricing model scales naturally — 100 devices is $100/year total. No per-seat pricing, no "team" upsell. Contact us for invoicing or volume discounts above 500 devices.
How does billing work?
You pay once per year, upfront, based on your peak device count in the previous period. We accept all major cards and ACH.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the dashboard at any time. Your devices stay connected until the end of the billing period.
